Dear Redeemer Family:
It has been wonderful to see so many more of you in-person on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. As we continue to follow CDC guidelines, I am encouraged as members are returning to regular in-person worship. While we will continue to live-stream our services for those who are not able to attend in person, my hope is for the Redeemer family to more-and-more return to the discipline of regularly gathering to worship and to serve together. Please be praying about where the Lord may be leading you to volunteer and serve, as we have many openings for volunteers in our Nursery, Ushering, Greeting, Altar Guild, and Altar-Prayer ministries. Please pray, and then email Shirley (shirley.redeemerjax@gmail.com) and let her know where you are willing to serve.
Two things that I want to highlight this week, both occur tomorrow on Wed June 2: the final Midday Eucharist service, and our Wed evening Adult Discipleship time focused on the mission of “Kim’s Open Door.” Scott Schultz will be leading the final Midday Eucharist at Noon tomorrow, and then that service will be on hiatus until the fall (see below for more info). Regarding Wed evening, this is the first Wed of the month, and therefore it will be focused on one of our Ministry Partners: “Kim’s Open Door,” an outreach to local at-risk children (see below for more info). I hope to see you at one or both of those gatherings!
Finally, I want to challenge any of you who have not yet participated in the Spiritual Gifts Inventory, to click on the link and complete theS.H.A.P.E. assessment. This will be a helpful exercise for your own faith, as well as providing important input to the Future Vision planning committee.
