Volunteering Opportunities (Rector’s Letter for 5/03)

Dear Redeemer Family,

As disciples and followers of Jesus Christ, we are ALL commissioned to be making disciples “as we are going” into the world (Matthew 28:19). I want to challenge you to be looking for ways that you can partner with the Lord in his work at Redeemer and in the Community.
In this season of re-visioning and relaunching, there are many opportunities available at Redeemer that are in need of volunteers. I ask you to prayerfully considering stepping forward to serve in the following ministry areas on Sunday mornings: Scripture readers, Prayers of the People, Children’s nursery (especially during the 8AM service), the Media team, the Altar Guild, and Greeters.  Training will be provided.
If you have never volunteered before, I urge you to be bold and try something new. If you are a past volunteer, I hope you will consider reengaging with these opportunities. Nursery is a particularly important ministry, as it blesses young parents with the opportunity to freely worship and engage with other Redeemer members. Without nursery volunteers, parents are left to take turns watching each other’s children. Email Shirley (Shirley.redeemerjax@gmail.com) for more information, or to enter into the rotation with your fellow Redeemer family members.

May we honor the Lord Jesus as we serve alongside one another, mature in faith together, and bring others into the presence of our risen Savior.

Fr. Bill
