Two Opportunities to Spread Christmas Cheer

As part of our Advent Celebration, we are continuing our support of local foster care and adoption ministries by collecting new, unwrapped board books, games, and toys for One More Child to brighten the holidays for these vulnerable children. Look for the labeled box in the main area of the Parish Hall beginning this Sunday through December 5. Don’t have time to shop or don’t know what to buy? Leave a cash donation and Andrea McCullough will do the shopping for you!In addition, we also have the St. Mary’s Angel Tree near the front entrance, Please select an angel (or two!) from the tree to help create a brighter Christmas for the special people in need whom St. Mary’s Episcopal Mission serves in the inner city. This year, all the gifts will go to a specific child based upon the ID# on the angel.  Please bring your new gifts unwrapped by Sunday, December 5th, or to the office by Thursday, December 9th.  Wrapping paper and gift bags, and financial donations for Christmas food baskets are also welcomed. Thank you for sharing your blessings with those less fortunate this season. If you have questions, please call me at 742-1772 (cell). Linda Kattman, Advocate for St. Mary’s. Volunteers needed for St. Mary’s Christmas Room this year:  We would like to provide people again this year to help in the Christmas Room, to serve as Wrapping Elves on either December 13th or 15th, from 9am-12pm or 1-4pm. Please email Linda Kattman at ljkattman@gmail.com or call 904 742-1772 by Dec. 6th if you can help. You can also contact Emily Waters directly at emilywaters@stmarysjax.org or (904) 710-9354.
