Stewardship, and the FCWS Banquet on Oct. 29

Dear Redeemer Family,

This morning, I am finding encouragement and solace from the sermon yesterday, specifically from the emphasized reality that the Holy Spirit is with me, and in me. Therefore, I can know and trust that He is with me in the midst of everything that I am feeling and everything that is before me. I praise the Lord that I am not alone, and that He shoulders my burdens with me.
Yes, I am finding encouragement and solace from my own sermon! Praise be to the LORD for His work in and through Church of the Redeemer. Thank you for your partnership at Redeemer. I hope and pray the Lord’s word preached yesterday encourages and challenges you as well.

Stewardship is on my mind this morning. As followers of Jesus, filled with and guided by the Spirit, we are in everything to seek to bring Glory to the LORD and to proclaim the Good News in Jesus Christ. Paul said it this way,  “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1Corinthians 10:31). We are therefore called to steward (manage) our time, talents, and treasure for the Glory of God. As we approach the end of 2020 and the beginning of a new year, I ask you to prayerfully consider your own stewardship of your time, your talent, and your treasure. Ask the Lord to guide you in the giving of your “3 T’s”, and to challenge any areas that are stagnant. All ministry at Redeemer is dependent on the LORD’s provision through you, and I thank you for your partnership with me.

As you live differently from the culture around you, including in your stewardship of your 3 T’s, you will be a living witness to your faith, and to the Lord whom you serve. May we move together toward the new year with a renewed understanding of the salvation we have received, and a renewed passion to share the Good News of Jesus & the encouragement of the Holy Spirit with those who are lost and struggling.

Following the Lord: Father, Son and Spirit,
Fr. Bill
