Rector’s Letter for 7/28

Rector’s Letter for 7/28

Redeemer Family:

Thank you for your prayers for me and my family while we were away on vacation. Kim and I both feel much more refreshed and rested than we expected. I am excited to be back, and ready to begin this Fall season with you at Redeemer.

I am so thankful for the team’s work during our weeks away: for Jeanne and Scott, for Mike and Shirley in the office, Darlene and Clint and the music/media team, Tim, Prudence, and all of the other behind-the-scenes leaders and volunteers.

Redeemer is continuing to monitor the coronavirus situation in Florida and in our county. At this point, we are remaining in our Phase-1 posture, until things calm down. I will be meeting with Redeemer’s Vestry today to discuss next steps, and our plans for fall programs. We will continue to broadcast all of our services, as well as welcome anyone who desires to worship in person. We also plan to continue the broadcasting of Morning Prayer at 8:30AM Mon-Sat on Facebook Live (if you have not joined previously, here is a link, found on our website homepage). Our Wednesday Zoom gatherings will also continue, and we hope to see increased attendance there.

One huge blessing during this season of virus and quarantine has been the growth of our small-group ministry. More and more Redeemer members have been meeting in our Zoom small-groups, and the feedback and testimonies have been great to hear. If you are not yet connected, I hope you will take the initiative to join in this movement of community, fellowship and support at Redeemer. Email Darlene (darlene.redeemer@gmail.com) for more information.

Peace to you all on this Monday afternoon, and I hope to see you at 8:30AM for Morning Prayer tomorrow!

Fr. Bill
