On the Incarnation

On the Incarnation

On the Incarnation

Whenever we say the Creed, we always say the words “true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made.” Have you ever wondered why we say those words?
One of the best ways to keep the Lenten season is by adding spiritual disciplines to your lives. One way we are helping you do that at Redeemer is by offering a 6-week theological reading group during that season. The group will meet both in person and online on Sunday mornings from 9:15-9:45 in the RSM Youth Room.
During this Lent, we’re going to be reading through Saint Athanasius’ short book, “On the Incarnation”https://svspress.com/on-the-incarnation-english-only/ ). Through that study we’ll be learning how to understand what we mean when we say those words in the Nicene Creed. And by doing so, we’ll be equipping ourselves to be able to recite the Creed with greater confidence as well as protecting ourselves from dangerous heresies that loom in our culture today.
