“On the Apostolic Preaching”

“On the Apostolic Preaching”

In our Adult Discipleship hour on Sundays, we will be reading through a theological classic written in the second century by Irenaeus, one of the Fathers of the Early Church. Saint Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons received teaching from Bishop Polycarp, who himself was a disciple of Saint John the Apostle! In Irenaeus’ book, “On the Apostolic Preaching,” he is going to walk us through the story of the Old Testament Scriptures and show how the Apostles read the Old Testament as proof that Jesus Christ suffered, died, was buried, and raised on the third day “according to the Scriptures.”
Copies of Saint Irenaeus’ “On the Apostolic Preaching” can be purchased online HERE, or you can pick up a copy at the church for $20.
Both the “On the Apostolic Preaching” and “The Good and Beautiful God” studies will be starting in a few weeks, so don’t wait to order!
