New 8AM Sunday Service, Zoom Missions Update from Mike Miller, and Stewardship (Rector’s Letter for 1/04)

Dear Redeemer Family,

2020 is now finally behind us. While there were many challenges, there were also many things to celebrate. As a result of the challenges of last year, I saw two significant blessings at Redeemer: more members are now connected through our on-line small groups; and home-bound members are now able to attend worship virtually. These are just two of the many works that the Lord did in our midst last year, and I give him all the praise and glory! I have been encouraged in recent weeks by the increasing in-person attendance on Sunday mornings. To ensure we are able to maintain proper social-distancing and safety with increasing attendance, we will be offering 2 services starting this Sunday: 8AM Eucharist, and 10AM Eucharist with Live-streaming. We will try this two-service schedule for the next few weeks to see how things go.

Last week, we saw three of our families experience the loss of a family member: the Bardin family in the passing of Karl, the Sarber family in the passing of Grace’s father Richard Martin, and the Berger family in the passing of Rebecca’s grandmother Jane. As we become aware of plans for memorial services, we will let you know. I pray that you, the members of Redeemer, will continue to reach out to one another, to share your needs with one another, and to love, encourage, and support each other.

This week, we will begin our Wednesday Evening Zoom gatherings, launching a new schedule for 2021. This Wed we will meet with Mike and Kim Miller, our missionaries in Honduras. Click HERE to see the complete plan for our Wed Zoom Gatherings moving forward.

Please be praying for your vestry and staff as we plan for 2021. Much work has already been done, and there is still much to do. Thank you to all who have submitted your stewardship pledges for the new year. If you have not yet done so, please use this LINK to submit your 2021 pledge ASAP. I am thankful for God’s provision through you last year, and I am confident that the Lord will provide for Redeemer through his people in this new year.

Excited to participate with the Lord in his work in 2021,
Fr. Bill
