- Monitor your area weekly using CovidActNow.org. The newest CDC guidelines are tied to local levels of infection.
- Clergy and staff members who have not been vaccinated must wear masks when indoors with others.
- Make masks available and make it clear that unvaccinated people are requested to wear them, and that vaccinated people are welcome to wear them as enhanced protection for themselves and others.
- Music team members who are not vaccinated are likewise requested to wear masks. This applies both to rehearsals and public worship.
- Continue or restart hybrid ministry.
- Clergy and others should be masked when distributing Eucharist:
- For their own protection
- To diminish the risk of their passing on the virus when asymptomatic
- To model that it is certainly good for people to be masked even if they are vaccinated
- To show that the Delta variant surge is being taken seriously, and there may even be more restrictions ahead.
