Continuing Redeemer’s Visioning Process (Rector’s Letter for 4/25)

Dear Redeemer Family,
This past Saturday more than 60 members met together (in-person and Zoom) to begin Redeemer’s visioning process. It was great to be working together with so many, as we seek to understand who we are as a church and where the Lord is leading us in mission and ministry. If you were not able to attend, I encourage you to take time to view or listen to the recording of the meeting. See below in this email to find links to the video (and “table of contents”), along with the handouts.
As we seek to know the Lord’s direction for our future together, prayer will be an integral component to our process. The prayer time on Saturday was powerful – unfortunately the microphone did not pick up many of the prayers. Kim Driscoll has provided a summary of the prayers that were offered (see below). Please continue to set time aside to pray for this process, that the leadership and membership will be united as we hear and move forward.
Please also be praying for the Lord to provide his successor to Prudence Baldwin as our Children’s Ministry Director. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, Prudence is stepping down at the end of May. A team of Redeemerites has updated the job description, and it has been posted. Feel free to share it if you know any potential candidates.
This is an exciting time to be a part of Redeemer, and I personally feel energized as I walk this journey with you. I am, and I hope that you are, expectant that the living God whom we worship will speak, lead, guide and direct us into this new season. We can trust that he will bring forth kingdom fruit in our lives and in our church as we follow him!
Fr. Bill
