A New Chapter for the Children’s Ministry (Rector’s Letter for 2/21/21)

A New Chapter for the Children’s Ministry (Rector’s Letter for 2/21/21)

Dear Redeemer Family:

I write today to announce the beginning of a new chapter at Redeemer. It is with many different emotions that I inform you that Prudence Baldwin will be retiring as our Children’s Ministry Director. Her last day on staff will be May 31. I am thankful, I celebrate, and I am also sad as Prudence’s long tenure ends.

Prudence began volunteering in Children’s Ministry in 1986, and has served as the Director since 1999. During her 35 years of Children’s Ministry at Redeemer, she has taught and mentored hundreds of children and their families, planting and watering countless Gospel seeds in their lives. Prudence is excited for this new season and new leadership at Redeemer, AND she is not going anywhere. She plans to continue to volunteer in children’s ministry in the upcoming years.

We are beginning the search process for Prudence’s successor. Please pray for the members of the search committee as they come together in this task, and pray for the Lord’s perfect provision for new leadership in our Children’s Ministry.

Changing subjects, I remind you that I will be teaching on Stewardship and Giving this Wednesday during our 6:30PM Zoom meeting. I hope you will join me and your Redeemer Family, either in person or through Zoom.

Serving a Living and Active Messiah, Jesus Christ,
Fr. Bill
