First Coast Women’s Services

Empowering women to make informed choices about their pregnancy. Our purpose is to prevent the tragedy of abortion by offering truthful information, emotional support and practical assistance to individuals who are facing unplanned pregnancies. We present sexual abstinence as a positive lifestyle for singles and provide opportunities for healing and restoration to those who have been hurt by abortion. We share the love of Jesus in a caring, non-judgmental environment. All services are free and confidential.

88% have their abortion in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy

Did You Know:

  • ?  More deaths are caused by abortion in
    NE Florida
than by all other causes combined. This includes heart disease, cancer, cerebrovas- cu lar diseases, accidents, homicides, suicides and diabetes.

  • ?  43% of all African American pregnancies end in abortion

  • ?  69% of minority women who have unintended pregnancies are economically disadvantaged.

  1. Problem:

  2. One reason minority women have unintended pregnancies is due to lack of education, income, and access to health care.

Access to life-affirming education and services are limited or non-existent in the urban population and underserved communities. Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the U.S., specifically targets and has a presence in the communities where the majority of minority women reside.

  1. Solution:

90% of women who have access to life-affirming, pregnancy-related services do not abort their babies.

Our desire is to train and equip
    volunteers in targeted communities to
reach out and help pregnant women gain access to community referral agencies and churches for ongoing spiritual, emotional and material support.
