Nursery Workers

Nursery Workers Wanted - Currently our nursery volunteers are the parents of the infants and toddlers that use the nursery.  We would like to give them the opportunity to worship on a more regular basis and are looking for other volunteers who would be willing to attend the early service, then serve in our nursery during the second service.  Anyone who loves children and has been a member of Redeemer for at least 6 months is eligible.  We will provide the necessary training.  Please contact our Nursery Coordinator, Shirley Combs, 223-4799, or our Children's Ministry Director, Prudence Baldwin, 708-1221, with questions or to volunteer.

Nursery Workers Needed for Wednesday Nights - Wednesday nights we will be offering the nursery (ages 0-4 years old) to parents who are attending the Adult Education classes. Right now we are in desperate need of volunteers. This is a great opportunity to serve the parents in our church who would like some time for fellowship and learning. And what could be more fun and rewarding than watching children play, grow, and learn? You do not have to make a weekly commitment, but please pray and consider serving in this capacity. Multimedia Techs

Are you interested in helping out in a "behind the scenes" sort of way?  If so, please consider volunteering as a multimedia tech.  You can play an important role in helping the preacher's message reach the congregation through the use of slides and video clips.  Don't let the title deter you; the task is quite simple.  All you need to be able to perform is basic computer skills.  Don't have them?  Not to worry.  Training will be provided and is quite simple to master.  Please contact Jonathan Taunton or Steve Chapman  if you are interested in becoming part of the exciting "behind the scenes" team at Redeemer.

Fellowship Volunteers

Fellowship Volunteers Needed - Sunday mornings are a time for worship and fellowship.  Our fellowship is very important to this parish family after the services.  We need volunteers to help setup and cleanup on Sunday morning before the first service and after the last service.  If you feel led to help, please call the church office, 642-8803.  Serve is usually once a month.

Altar Guild

Do you enjoy setting a grand table for very special guests?  Then you would enjoy serving on the Redeemer Altar Guild.  The Altar Guild sets the Lord's Table for the celebration of Holy Eucharist each Sunday.  This service is carried out by four teams who are led by JoAnn Martin and Betty Stich.  The primary duties include polishing brass and silver as needed, setting out wine and wafers, placing appropriate linens on the altar, ensuring the Bible is marked for the readings, filling the candles with oil and placing the alms basins out.  Between services the Altar Guild washes the chalices, refills the cruets with wine and places clean linen on the altar. 

You do not have to know how to do any of these duties.  The Altar Guild members will train you.  You will not be asked to perform duties alone.  The four teams rotate the duties so that each team serves once a month.  A team will spend about two hours during its assigned week.  Men and women are welcome to join the Altar Guild.  Please contact Jo Ann Martin or Betty Stich) for more information.

Redeemer Student Ministries

Redeemer Student Ministries is looking for leaders of all types.  We have openings to serve in Common Ground as a small group leader, at Club N Wreck and as a trip leader.  If you have a passion to help love, serve and encourage Junior and Senior High School students while they grow in Christ, we have a place for you to serve. For more information, please contact Shaun Lafferty.

If you are interested in becoming a part of Redeemer's Counter Ministry, please contact Evelyn Bennion for more information.  After training, this ministry would only require a time commitment of one morning per month.
