Sunday Morning at Redeemer
Music and Worship
You will probably notice that music is an important part of our worship. You may see some people kneeling, clapping, or raising their hands . These are just outward Biblical expressions of our inward devotion to the Lord. We hope you will feel free to participate in the way that best allows you to worship.
The Sunday morning offering is for members of Church of the Redeemer to support the ministries of the church. As a guest, we will invite you to complete a yellow information card and drop that in the offering plate.
Prayer and Thanksgiving
During Communion and after the service, trained prayer counselors are available in the back corners of the sanctuary. Because we believe that God loves to touch our lives and heal us, these teams will pray with you for physical, emotional, and/or spritual healing.
Eucharist, Communion, The Lord's Supper
This is when we celebrate the last meal that Jesus shared with his disciples, which recalls for us the price He paid to free us from the penalty of our sin. If you are a baptized follower of Jesus Christ, you are welcome to receive the bread and wine. The silver chalice contains wine and is for sipping or dipping of the wafer. If you choose not to take communion, you may either remain seated or you may come forward and receive a prayer of blessing by simply crossing your forearms in front of your chest as you kneel.
